Enough is fucking enough!!
I'm furious!!! Enough is enough!!
I'm telling you, Orwell's predictions isn't as far fetched as some might think!
Today a law was passed in the Swedish parliament, that now makes it fully legal for the Swedish
civilian(!) institution FRA (Försvarets Avlyssningsanstalt) to reccord and trace any data that passes the borders of Sweden.
This means calls from your mobile, text messages and INTERNET TRAFFIC!
Data on the internet travels. It bounces around to different servers quite a bit, even your e-mails.
This law makes it legal for Swedish authorities to intercept, monitor, store and read your e-mails. If it would happen to pass the borders of Sweden on its way to your friends.
This law is a violation of the constitution of the very country where it was now passed! Even the
Swedish National Security Police is opposed to this law passing! Should not that be a sign of how ill-advised this law is?
And quite frankly, this scares the shit out of me!!!
Consequences:The FRA is a civilian institution, which means other institutions like the police, government and customs can order surveillance and searches as they please.
This has major consequences for us Swedes, but some affect the rest of you as well:
The intentions might be good and there to keep us safe. But systems do get corrupt quite often, and the wrong people could get their hands on the information stored about you.
And, say farewell to
file sharing and
downloading in the future!
Cause now the FRA will be allowed to monitor data traffic and to search and track down any file sharers out there...
No more Anime episodes for YOU!
Looks like the money hungry enterprises are winning...
When the film and music industry says "Jump!" Swedes asks "How high"...
I want to move...

But not to France. There, a new law to ban file sharers from using internet is on its way. The reason: It's too troublesome to go trough the courts. Just banning their internet connection for a few months is easier...
